Cure Light Wounds can be learned by a wide range of casters, not all of which draw power from deities or other grand and unknowable beings. I wonder what having that at your convenience would do to you, in terms of how you interact with the world and its dangers. What does it take for a battle scar, a mark of pride, to sink through the skin and mark one's identity? One's being? How easy would it be to cure a mark like that?
